Gideon Mensah likely to miss Ghana’s AFCON Qualifier against Madagascar

Due to an injury received during a recent match in the French Ligue 2, Gideon Mensah’s participation for the next match between the Black Stars and the Central African Republic in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on September 7 is in question.

Gideon has been one of Ghana’s left full back over the years and his availability to this clash on 7th September will certainly be a boost for the Black Stars. It’s unclear how severe his injury is and what it means.

Mensah left the pitch too soon on Saturday due to an injury he sustained while playing for Valenciennes. At this point.

It is being thought about whether or not to leave him out of the Black Stars lineup for the crucial game. In the upcoming days, it is anticipated that the player’s situation will become clearer.

Due to an injury, Mensah was unable to participate in the most recent game against Madagascar.

The Black Stars’ attempt to win or draw the final qualifying match in order to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast may be hampered by his likely absence.

As the match date draws closer, the situation will be carefully watched. This is real concern for Chris Hughton but other players could be invited to fill up the left back spot for the Black Stars.
