“Ghanaians didn’t believe in our team even before we departed for this World Cup” Cecilia Nyama

Ridge City Women’s player, Cecilia Nyama who is currently on national duties with the female U-20 side of Ghana, the Black Princesses shared her thoughts about the ongoing FIFA U-20 women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

The Black Princesses found themselves in group D alongside USA, Netherlands and defending champions Japan.

Black Princesses opening game in the tournament was against USA where they lost by 3 goals to nothing.

Second group stage game was against defending champions Japan which went in favour of Japan 2-0.

The Black Princesses will play the Netherlands in their final group stage games on Wednesday August 17/2022.

Cecilia Nyama told Atinka FM how she feels about the Netherland game, the tournament in total and promise to bring the trophy home after losing their first two games of the tournament.

“Ghanaians didn’t believe in our team even before we departed for this World Cup but they should start believing that we can bring the trophy and it will come to pass. We will surely beat Netherlands in our last game” Cecilia Nyama told Atinka FM.
