Ghanaian midfielder Hans Nunoo Sarpe has signed for Finnish club HJK on a free transfer. The 25-year-old inked a two-year contract with an option to extend for an additional year.

Sarpe arrives at HJK after a stint with German side Ingolstadt in 2023, where he made 39 appearances. Prior to his time at Ingolstadt, Sarpe honed his skills at prominent German clubs such as Greuther Fürth and VfB Stuttgart, as well as Slovak club FK Senica. He began his career with Liberty Professionals before moving abroad from Ghana in 2016.

HJK coach Ferran Sibila has expressed optimism about Sarpe’s potential impact, praising his performance in training sessions. “He looked good in training already, but we believe that we haven’t seen even close to the best of what he can offer,” Sibila remarked.

Hans Nunoo Sarpe could potentially make his debut for HJK in a friendly against Ilves on February 10.
