Ghanaian Midfielder Cletus Daho Nombil Joins Czech club FC Zlin

Ghanaian midfielder Cletus Daho Nombil has secured a move to Czech club FC Zlin in the January transfer window, adding a promising young talent to their midfield ranks.

The 23-year-old arrives in Zlin after a strong half-season with Slovakian side FC Petržalka, where he impressed with 16 appearances and six assists. His journey has taken him from Ghanaian Premier League outfit Dreams FC, where he began his professional career in 2018, to Israeli clubs Hapoel Jerusalem and Hapoel Kfar Saba (on loan).

Nombil expressed his enthusiasm about the new chapter, tweeting: “Excited to be here! Ready to give it my all and make an impact. Let’s go!”

FC Zlin coach Bronislav Červenka praised Nombil’s qualities, stating: “He’s an intelligent central midfielder, technically and physically gifted. He reads the game well and can contribute in both defence and attack, even initiating offensive actions. I’ve watched him play and I’m familiar with his capabilities. He’s already training with us and should be integrated into the match soon.”

Nombil’s arrival adds depth and creativity to Zlin’s midfield. His talent and the coach’s confidence suggest the young Ghanaian is poised to make a significant impact in the Czech league and continue his European football ascent.
