Ghana star Andre Ayew celebrates winning league title in Qatar with Al-Sadd SC

Ghana captain Andre Ayew and his Al-Sadd SC teammates have officially been crowned champions of the 2021/22 Qatari Stars League season.

The experienced attacker during last summer sealed a sensational move to join the Qatari giants after leaving England where he played for Championship outfit Swansea City.


Going on to be an instant impact at the club, Andre Ayew immediately became a fan favourite as he scored for fun to help the team until he had to leave for the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

When he later returned, he had to start most of the games from the bench. Having managed to maintain his top form, Andre Ayew today started for Al-Sadd SC when the team locked horns with Al-Duhail for the team’s final home match of the season.

At the end of an exciting contest that ended 1-1, Al-Sadd SC have been officially crowned champions of the Qatari League.

Players who have worked hard throughout the season are celebrating into the night for a job well done.

This becomes the second trophy Andre Ayew has won since his move to Al-Sadd SC.
