Ghana football awards 2022: Yusif Basigi and two other coaches gets nomination for Women’s coach of the year

Ghana Footbal Awards is an annual award scheme organized to recognize the best Ghanaian players playing in and outside of the country and key stakeholders who contribute significantly to the game.[1][2] Several category of awards are given to the most outstanding performers of the season under review. The awards are presented in July each year at a special gala in Accra Ghana.

I’m the category of women’s coach of the season, Coach Yusif, Coach Ben Fokuo and Coach Nana Joe Darkwa have been nominated for the award.

Coach Yusif Basigi, the head coach of 2020/2021 Ghana women’s premier league champions Hasaacas ladies.

Coach Basigi went 23 games unbeaten in the 2021/2022 women’s football season, 18 league matches and 5 FA cup matches but finish the season trophy less.

Coach Nana Joe Darkwa, is the head coach of the 2021/2022 Ghana women’s premier league and women’s FA cup champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

The first manager to beat HasaacasLadies back to back in the same season for the first time in 5 years and finishing the season with double trophy.

Coach Ben Fokuo is the head coach of Ghana U-20 female team. Coach Ben Fokuo also qualify the U-20 female national team to its 6 successive U-20 FIFA World Cup.
