GFA shortlists 6 candidates for Technical director role.

The Ghana Football Association has nominated 6 candidates to be interviewed for the Technical Director position which has been vacant since March ending.

The six nominated individuals are going through a process to determine whether they possess the necessary qualities to function in the position.

The GFA had been on the look out for a suitable replacement for the veteran Mr. Francis Oti Akenteng who vacated his position at the end of March 2020.

Every football nation is required by FIFA to appoint a Technical Director which is why the Ghana FA is relentless in its desire to fill that very position as soon as it can.

The Technical Director is tasked with the responsibility of defining and leading the nation’s technical development programmes. He will see to it that an appropriate cause of action is devised with a long term objective to develop the level of football in the country.

The new Technical Director will be inducted into office after aqpproval has been given by the Executive council per reports received.
