GFA announce the date for the start of GPL second round

The Ghana Football Association has announced February 25, 2022, as the date for the start of the second round of the Ghana Premier League. 

The first round ended over the weekend with Asante Kotoko finishing top with 36 points while champions Hearts sit eight on the table.
Hearts and Kotoko face off on Sunday to clear the outstanding game between the two sides.

“The second round of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season will kick start on the weekend of February 25-28 across the various League Centres. The ongoing season which began on Friday, October 29 is expected to end on Sunday, June 19, 2022,” wrote the FA on their official website.

“The outstanding match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko which comes off on Sunday, February 20, will draw the curtains for the first round of the season.”

The second round begins with Accra Hearts of Oak will play against Legon Cities at the El Wak sports stadium while leaders Asante Kotoko hosting Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.
