George Afriyie Explains Why He Is Not Interested In Becoming The Next Kotoko CEO.

Former Ghana Football Association president, George Afriyie has stated why he will not pick up the mantle to become the next Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

 

The management of the club got dissolved following the expiration of the three-year mandate given to them which was headed by Dr. Kwame Kyei, who now heads the newly-constituted board.

In a statement released by George Afriyie, he admitted Kumasi Asante Kotoko is a big and well-respected club in the country which he would want to serve one day, but current commitment which he made unknown would not permit him to take up the role as a CEO of the club.

Mr. Afriyie has vast experience in football administration in Ghana after serving in various leadership positions with several clubs in the country including Swedru All Blacks, Accra Great Olympics, and Liberty Professionals.

He also served as the management committee chairman for the Black Meteors and Black Satellites as well as working on the Premier League Board and the Division One League Board.
