Fabio Gama a doubt for Asante Kotoko clash against Hearts of Oak

Brazilian born midfielder, Fabio Gama is a major injury doubt for Asante Kotoko’s clash against Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Fabio Gama has missed Kotoko’s last eight games due to injury and despite returning to training early this week, the Porcupine Warriors are not counting him.

Asante Kotoko are likely to be without Isaac Oppong for the big game. The attacker who was unplayable in the early stages of the season suffered an ankle injury and hasn’t been in action since early December.

He has not featured in the last 10 games for Kotoko who are six points clear at the top of the table.

Meanwhile, midfielder Mudasiru Salifu who missed the 3-1 home win over Accra Lions last weekend due to ailment is expected back in the team for the first Super Clash of the campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors will be hoping to avenge last season’s defeat in Accra that gave the Phobians the league title.

A win for Kotoko on Sunday will see them stretch their lead over Hearts to 15 points.
