Exclusive: Social media bloggers should help Ghana football- Alhaji Akambi

Accra Hearts of Oak board member Alhaji Akambi has revealed that social media bloggers should help promote the Ghana Premier League rather than spreading false information to the general public.

In an interview with Sky FM sports presenter Professor Kuntu Blackson, the Accra Hearts of Oak board member stated that bloggers are the reason he dislikes speaking on air.

“Instead of reporting the facts, the bloggers write and twist some of the words we say in order for the fans to insult us. They should be extra cautious in order for some of us to gain the confidence to speak on the air. We are afraid of speaking on the air because bloggers will distort what we say,” he said.

He added that the relationship between Hearts of Oak and Konadu Yiadom’s management aided in getting the player to register for the Premier League giant following speculation about the club’s new signing’s future.

The prolific player joined the Phobians last week on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee from WAFA.
