EXCLUSIVE: Ghanaian midfielder Solomon Mensah completes move to Petrojet in Egypt

Ghanaian midfielder Solomon Mensah has completed to Egyptian side Petrojet Sporting Club on a short-term contract, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively confirm.

Mensah sealed his returned to Egyptian football on Wednesday after ending a short spell in Iraq where he was playing for Naft Missan SC where he joined in September 2021.

The 29-year-old joined Naft Missan from Aswan SC following their relegation from the Egyptian top-flight.

Petrojet have acquired the services of the experienced defensive midfielder as they seek promotion to the Egyptian Premier League next season.

Petrojet are currently sitting at the 4th position on the Egyptian Second Division league Group B after 15 matches with 27 points, five behind the leaders.

Mensah spent two seasons in the Egyptian top-flight as he joined Aswan in January 2020 from Lebanese club Shabab Sahel.

He previously played for Tema Youth FC, Fairpoint FC and Bechem United where he won the Ghana FA Cup with them in 2016.
