Exclusive: Afriyie Barnie has given me his words to extend his contract at Hearts of Oak- Alhaji Akambi

Accra Hearts of Oak board member Alhaji Akambi has revealed that Afriyie Barnie has assured him that he will extend his contract to stay at Accra Heart of Oak.

In an interview with sky FM sports presenter professor Kuntu Blackson, the Accra Hearts of Oak board member disclosed that with the relationship he has with the player it will be very difficult for the player to lie to him about his future at the club.

Reports have indicated several foreign and local clubs are chasing the signature of the forward following a great season but speaking to Sky FM, Alhaji Akambi has assured Hearts of Oak fans to relax, the prolific player will extend his stay at the club.

According to reports, Daniel Afriyie Barnie has three months remaining on his current contract with talks of a possible renewal stalling.

“I spoke with Barnie, and he told me that when they return from Australia, he will extend his contract because he will only play in Ghana for Accra Hearts of Oak and no other premier league team.” Because I am close to the player’s family and manager, I can assure fans that the player will extend his contract, as he stated to me.“

” I am aware of Barnie’s contract issues, but I can assure the Accra Hearts of Oak family that the player will extend his contract to continue playing for the club. Barnier’s family members are all Accra Hearts of Oak supporters, so extending his stay at the club should be no problem.

“He added that the relationship between Hearts of Oak and Konadu Yiadom’s management aided in getting the player to register for the Premier League giant following speculation about the club’s new signing’s future.

The prolific player joined the Phobians last week on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee from WAFA.
