Ex-Brighton manager Chris Hughton has not met the GFA over Black Stars job

Former Brighton manager Chris Hughton is currently in the country for a family visit and has not been contacted by the Ghana FA over the vacant Black Stars job.

The Irish-born Ghanaian manager is currently in the country for a family visit and his arrival in the West African country is coincidental with the appointment of a Black Stars coach.

According to report by the various media handles was alleged that the former Brighton boss was in the country to take on the Black Star’s vacant job.

However, a close source to Chris Hughton has revealed to GHANAsoccernet.com that the former Newcastle United coach is back home for a visit and has not met or discussed anything with the Ghana Football Association concerning the Black Stars job as of now.

He had planned to visit the country in December but had to postpone due to COVID-19 issues..

The Ghana Football Association is still looking for an interim coach to take the black stars to their world cup playoff game against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in March.
