Evans Adotey says the void left by Vincent Atinga has been filled by Nurudeen Abdulai

Evans Adotey, the head coach of Medeama SC, thinks that the absence of Vincent Atinga has been perfectly covered by the young defender Nurudeen Abdulai.

The seasoned Atinga elected not to renew his contract and left the club, leaving the 19-year-old kid to fill the position.

The first leg of the 2023 CAF Champions League preliminary round saw Medeama SC defeat Horoya AC of Guinea 3-1.

Adotey expressed his point, stating, “I said the other time when we met at the pre-match press conference that if Vincent Atinga is not there, we need a replacement.”

He also said , “I am a coach who always wants to create competition within the team and among the players. So, if Atinga is gone, definitely there is somebody who will step into his shoes, and you saw it did happen today.”
