Eric Bekoe reveals his secret to succeeding at Kotoko

Former Asante Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe has revealed his secret to enjoying great success during his days with the Porcupine Warriors.

Many of Kotoko fans remember Eric Bekoe for his exploits in the 2007/2008 season which he probably enjoyed his best campaign in the Ghana league.

Bekoe’s 17 goals won him the Top scorer award and also helped the Kumasi-based club to clinch the domestic league in the process.

Speaking to Sikka sports he said:I was determined to leave a legacy at Asante Kotoko,”

“You serve Asante Kotoko, you don’t play for Asante Kotoko. When you are playing for you should know you are rendering your service to the club,” he continued

He stated that people doubted his talent and even told him he couldn’t make it at Kotoko.

“Coach Bashiru Hayford told me I’m not up to the Asante Kotoko standard after scoring for Hearts of Lions against Kotoko,” he added

Bekoe moved to Egyptian side Petrojet after spending just a year with the Reds.
