Dutch-born Defender Derrick Luckassen confirms his decision to play for the Black Stars of Ghana

News circulating in the Dutch media suggests 25-year-old Derrick Luckassen made the decision to play for the 1982 African Champions after talks with the senior national team coach C.K.Akonnor.

It is said that Luckassen has already begun the process to ensure that FIFA approves his change of nationality so that he debuts for Ghana before the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Francis Amuzu and Jeremy Doku are two other players who were also visited by the Black Stars Coach during his visit at the Belgian powerhouse Anderlecht.

Luckassen has played for the Netherlands U18,U19,U20 and 21 teams.
His former employers include AZ Alkmaar,PSV and Hertha Berlin.
