Daniel Afriyie Barnieh to join Fc Zurich after CHAN tournament

Ghanaian winger Daniel Afriyie Barnieh will leave Hearts of Oak to join Swiss club Fc Zurich after the CHAN tournament on a 150,000 transfer fee.

Hearts of Oak will receive $150,000 for the player whose contract at the club was due on 31st December 2022 but extended the deal until after the CHAN tournament.

Barnieh will spend four years in Switzerland and will earn 12,000 euros gross salary.

The Ghanaian based club will also have a share on the player’s future sales as his career and development progresses.

Barnieh scored three goals in four qualifying games to book a place in the CHAN tournament for the Black Galaxies.

He was also vital for Hearts of Oak in winning the double in 2021 after signing for the Accra based club in 2019.

Barnieh urges Ghanaians to expect a good position in the tournament and look onto the trophy itself as the CHAN competition beckons.
