Head coach of the Ghana Under 20 female team, Yussif Bassigi has spoken about the effect of the covid-19 outbreak on his team’s preparation towards the FIFA Under 20 Female World Cup.

He said during an interview with Solomon Amankwa on Sekunde Sports on Sekondi-Takoradi based radio station Kyzz FM, the outbreak of the covid-19 has affected everyone but especially his team because the developed countries will definitely have a way of keeping fit till the commencement of footballing activities such as the world cup.

“All my efforts and preparation has been wasted but we are not the only country affected by it. But the developed countries have a way of still preparing unlike Ghana.”

He also added in as much as they don’t have the means like the developed countries, they have devised another strategy by putting the players on the same platform with the coaches as he gives them some training routines even though it will not be effective as the other developed countries own.
