Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian blames center referee for MTN FA Cup defeat to King Faisal

Aduana Stars head coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin wa. believe center referee is to be blamed for their  FA Cup quarterfinal defeat against King Faisal on Sunday.

The Ogya lads took the lead twice however both goals were levelled by opponents King Faisal which led to extra time. Eventually it had to be settled via penalties. King Faisal emerged winners at the end of the penalty shoot outs as they recorded a 3-1 win over Aduana Stars.

Fabin after the game indicated his side deserved more from the game in terms of officiating. According to the Aduana gaffer, major decisions went against Aduana Stars leading to their exit from the MTN FA Cup.

“I don’t talk about referees. It was very bad but we’ll leave it like that. Before we ended the first half we had a clear penalty.

“In the second half, we had two here. All were ignored. But look at the one that was given to King Faisal here. I mean it’s just comedy. I’m telling you,” he said after the game.

Aduana Stars will have to turn their attention to winning the Betpawa premier league after suffering a setback in their quest to win a double in the 2022/2023 season.
