Christopher Bonsu Baah makes his debut for Genk.

Christopher Bonsu Baah, a 16-year-old from Ghana, made his official KRC Genk debut against Servette Football Club on Wednesday, August 2.

When the game went into overtime, Joseph Paintsil was replaced for the final 15 minutes by Bonsu Baah, a countryman.

The 18-year-old was making a comeback after sitting out the first leg of the match and the first contest of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League in 2023/24.

It was not, however, the Ghanaian’s perfect start as Genk lost in a penalty shootout; Servette scored all of their penalties while Genk only managed one, which resulted in Genk’s elimination.

Baah is a left-footed forward who played for Shooting stars and first made his way to Norway with Sarpsborg from Ghana.

Even though Baah only spent half a season with the club, Sarpsborg still considers his transfer to Genk to be one of their most successful sales to date.
