Chelsea agree loan deal for Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the services of Joao Felix on loan for 9.7 million Euros.

The London based club face a difficult task in bouncing back into the top four of the Premier League and Felix remains a great attacking talent to add to their locker room.

According to Sky Italy journalist Fabrizio Romano, the deal is done with Felix flying to London for his Medicals with the 2021 UEFA Champions League  winners.

“Full verbal agreement reached, loan move on €11m fee with 100% salary covered by Chelsea.

Before leaving, JF will extend contract with Atléti until 2027.

João will fly to London in the next hours to undergo medical tests and sign”.

Felix’s contract with Atleti runs until the summer of 2026 as the 23 year old has assisted thrice and scored four La Liga goals this season.

He remains a major boost to the Chelsea attack which actually look rather quiet at the moment with so many injuries hindering their progress.

The Blues have just two wins in their last 10 games and Chelsea manager Graham Potter looks to turn the situation around immediately.
