Chairman Of Parliament Sports Committee Lauds XI Wise For New Policy Document

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, Youth and Culture, Hon. Alex Kofi Agyekum has commended Sekondi XI Wise Football Club for outdooring a policy document to guide the operations of the Club going forward.

Sekondi XI Wise FC on September 22, 2020 launched a new policy document to outline strategies to ensure the Club is restored to its former glory . The document when implemented will see the birth of an ‘All New Eleven Wise’ that is formidable, disciplined, accountable, transparent, commercially viable and socially good. The document is the first in the history of the Club and football in general in the Western Region.

A new management team for the Club was also inaugurated with the mandate to operationalize the policy document.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Alex Kofi Agyekum who also chaired the event lauded the Club under the patronage of Nana Kobbina Nketsia V for taking such a bold step.

He also challenged the new management to work hard to restore the Club’s lost glory and implement the policy document to the latter.

As his commitment, the Member of Parliament for Mpohor also donated an undisclosed amount to the Club.

Sekondi XI Wise is a professional football club  based in Sekondi in the Western Region of Ghana. The Club was formed in 1919 and has competed in all competitions organised by the Ghana Amateur Football Association
