CAF invites Sylvina for elite women’s referee course in Egypt

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has invited FIFA-badged referee Sylvina Garnett for a 2023 elite women’s referee course from 5-9 August in Cairo, Egypt.

It will bring 22 FIFA-badged referees, 18 FIFA-badged assistant referees, seven instructors, two video assistant referees (VAR) technicians and four CAF staff.

She leaves Liberia on 4 August and returns on 11 August for the course that is being fully-sponsored by CAF.

Sylvina and FIFA-badged referee Emmanuel Mensah completed a 10-day intensive VAR training in Casablanca, Morocco from 21-30 November 2022.

The two Liberians were among 18 African referees, who attended the practical and theoretical sessions that started with basic training, working through VAR protocols and simulator.
