Black Stars Coach CK Akonnor Reveals Why He Chose David Duncan As His Assistant.

Current Black Stars coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has stated why he opted for coach David Duncan to become his assistant despite Duncan being more experienced and older than Akonnor.

According to Akonnor, Duncan’s ability to point out mistakes and correct decision when they wrong played key roles, traces we saw during stints at Hearts Of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

In an exclusive interview with Joy Sports, the ex Ghana star said:

“I was looking for someone who could look at me and tell me I am wrong or right. Someone who would be honest with me on what I do. Duncan was that man.”

The pair got appointed early this after ex-coach James Akwesi Appiah was shown the exit when his contract with the Ghana Football Association expired.
