Black Queens demolish Kenya 3-1

Ghana Women’s senior national team, Black Queens demolished the Harambee Starlets of Kenya in the group stage of the Turkish Women’s cup.

The Black Queens of Ghana booked their 3rd place playoff spot in the 2020 Turkish Women’s cup after beating the Harambee Starlets of Kenya 3-1 on Tuesday March 10th at the Starlight Sports Complex.

Black Queens captain Elizabeth Addo opened the floodgate in the 9th minute through a beautiful free-kick after Princella Adubea was brought down.

Elizabeth Addo converted a panelty kick into the net of Kenya after striker Princella Adubea was fouled inside the penalty box to extend Ghana’s lead in the 55th minute.

Grace Asantewaa joined the goalscoring party to make it 3 for Ghana and to record her 3rd goal in the tournament in 85th minute.

Kenya took advantage of Ghana’s poor defending to score a consolation just before the final whistle.
