Basira Alhassan speaks on resumption of camping ahead of world cup qualifier

Captain of the Black Maidens of Ghana, Basira Alhassan has reacted to government’s decision to allow them train ahead of the FIFA U17 World cup qualifier against their Nigerian counterparts.

Following CAF’s and FIFA’s decision to reschedule the 2020 FIFA U17 World Cup qualifier, the president of Ghana, his excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo – Addo gave the green lights for the national female teams(Black Princesses and Black Maidens) to resume training ahead of the qualifiers in his address on Sunday night.

Reacting to the news, Basira Alhassan said;

“On behalf of my teammates, we are very happy and excited that after FIFA and CAF had given the go-ahead to resume the qualifiers, today the President has also given us the green light to begin camping. The entire team is very happy about our coming back to the field. I believe together we will be able to put the team in a very good shape ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria.”
