The Ghanaian international congratulated Bounedjah on Instagram after the game.

Santi Cazorla and Hassan Al-Haydos’ goals sealed the victory, as Andre Ayew put up a standout performance for the Qatari champions.

The team had won twice in a row since the league restarted following the World Cup break.

Al Sadd scored six points in each of their last two games, putting them just one point behind the top four teams in the standings.

Despite the fact that they are currently 10 points behind the leaders, they have a lot more games still to play.
