The communication director for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Moses Antwi Benefo who is also known as PJ MOZEE has confirmed to Ashh Fm that, Kotoko will play its home matches at the Ali Mahama Stadium at Tamale in the Northern Region Of Ghana.

Speaking to Ike Owusu Ansah on Ashh Super Sports Show on Ashh Fm Kumasi, PJ made the following statement,

“We will train this afternoon and tomorrow before we travel to Accra on Thursday. We are Expecting Noaudhibou Fc latest by Thursday. Concerning supporters coming to the stadium, we have talked to the covid 19 team of the country and they have convinced us they need to protect the citizens of the country so we have withdrawn from that statement”.

He added that; “Team’s like hearts of Oak, International Allies, Legon Cities, Accra great Olympic are all playing their matches at Accra sports stadium and its bringing pressure to the stadium, that’s why we have written to the FA to allow us to take our home games to Ali Mahama stadium in the Northern region. It will help bring back the love we are preaching in the northern part of the country, there is no premier team playing there so it will help the Northern regions to feel the league and even help them in sales too. We have told the club licences team that will go and inspect the stadium’s cost will be on us Asante Kotoko. We will pay for every cost”.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko is still waiting for an approval from the Ghana Football Association.
