Asante Kotoko quickly identify Tano Bofoakwa Striker Welbeck Takyi ad Kwame Poku’s replacement

Tano Bofoakwa striker Welbeck Takyi has been identified as a replacement for departing Kotoko attacker Kwame Poku.

Poku is on his way out after completing his transfer to Algerian side USM Alger.

The former Nkoranza Warriors is believed to have agreed terms with the North African side in a deal which will see him earn €15,000 monthly.

He is expected to leave for Algeria after Ghana’s Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.

Takyi, who has so far scored 9 goals in 11 appearances for Tano Bofoakwa in the Division one League is said to have popped up on Kotoko’s radar as the Porcupine Warriors readies to open negotiation with the Division one side.
