Asante Kotoko Not Considering Pay Cut – PRO Kennedy Ansah.

There has been calls for Ghana Premier league clubs to activate the pay cut system, following the suspension of the league season due to the coronavirus Pandemic.

In Europe, clubs like Juventus, Barcelona and Inter Milan have considered cutting down player wages to be stable financially until football resumes. For these European clubs, all major source of income have ceased due to the Pandemic.

However, following suggestions to slash down wages of domestic footballers, Kotoko are willing to pay their players in full till football returns, and won’t toe the line of the Europeans.

“I have always had the conviction that european Solutions can’t solve African problems , apart from Kotoko and Hearts who pay their players considerably well ,how much do other clubs pay ,they pay peanuts and we talking about pay cuts.

We haven’t considered pay cut.” Kennedy Boakye Ansah told Kumasi based Oyerepa FM.

The “porcupine warrior ” have introduced two new signings, Kwame Opoku and Emmanuel Sarkodie, and are like to bring in more players before the window shuts.
