Legon Cities striker Hans Kwofie has revealed that the presence of Asamoah Gyan swayed his decision to move to the club.
The 31-year-old was with AshantiGold at the start of the campaign where he netted five goals. He returned to the GPL this season after spending some years abroad.
In an exclusive interview with Joy Sports’ Owuraku Ampofo, he revealed the impact Gyan made in his move to the Royals.
“My coming here [Legon Cities] was influenced by Asamoah Gyan. I wanted to play with him. I’ve admired him for a very long time and he is my role model. Whenever I see him play, I am very happy,” he said.
“The idea of coming to play with him is an idea that was very good for me. It’s even a morale booster for me and I can’t wait to play with him,” he added.
Legon Cities will battle Berekum Chelsea when the league resumes from its break.
