Arsenal close in on a move for Chelsea’s Jorginho

Arsenal have shown interest in Chelsea midfielder Jorginho with the Premier League leaders looking to secure a deal before the winter deadline.

Chelsea are reportedly open to selling Jorginho yet will ask for an important fee with the Italian having six months left on his contract.

According to Sky Italy journalist Fabrizio Romano, a deal could be agreed between the clubs yet Arsenal’s pursuit of Brighton’s Moises Caicedo will decide the outcome of the Jorginho deal.

“Arsenal approach Chelsea for Jorginho! It’s now an option in case Caicedo deal won’t go through with Brighton still reluctant to sell.

Chelsea, open to sell Jorginho but will ask for important fee to let him leave 6 months before end of contract #CFC”.

Chelsea look to replace Jorginho with World Cup breakout youngster Enzo Fernandez before deadline day as the departure becomes likely with six months left on his contract.

The Blues would rather receive a fee for him than lose out on him for free in the summer.
