Andre Ayew likely to join a new club in January

Former president of the now-defunct Techiman City FC, Micky Charlse has suggested that Andre Ayew could be set for a new club this January.

The former Black Stars captain has been without a club since his release from French side Le Havre at the end of last season. In the meantime, the 35-year-old has been keeping up his fitness with Nania FC, a team owned by his father, Abedi Pele.

Speaking on Asempa FM, Ntim indicated that Ayew’s next move could come during the winter transfer window.

“I have watched Andre Ayew train with Nania FC, and he looks fit. I can say on authority that Andre Ayew is likely to join a new club in January,” he stated.

Ntim also hinted that Ayew could return to the national team if he maintains his fitness and secures a club.

“If Andre Ayew joins a new club in January and stays fit, he is likely to make the Black Stars squad for the World Cup,” he added.

Ayew has not featured for the Black Stars since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
