AFCON 2021: Ghana among three other nations to reach the semis – Ex-goalkeeper.

Former Black Stars goalkeeper, Abukari has predicted Ghana will reach the semi-final of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana opened the journey with a 1-0 defeat to Morocco on Monday afternoon but the retired goalkeeper believes the boys are still strong to penetrate to the last four of the competition.

Abukari Damba predicted that the defending champions Algeria, Senegal, and Mali are also strong to get closer to the ultimate.

Goalkeeper Damba divulged “I wish I was up there to this but looking at…, currently, what is happening or per history, the defending Champions, Algeria are still very very hot. The Senegalese I must also say, have a very good team. They were in the final during the last edition and they are still very relevant.

We can also rely on Mali because they also have a very good team then let’s look at Ghana who is the dark horse here. Ghana is not rated high but Ghana could put up a lot of surprises so I think that these are the four teams I will go for. Ghana will be among the last four.”

Goalkeeper Damba was Ghana’s 1992 AFCON. He was on the bench when Ghana lost in the final to Ivory Coast.
