AFCON 2021: Daniel Kofi-Kyereh could start for Ghana against Gabon

FC St.Pauli midfielder, Daniel Kofi-Kyereh could be set for his first start at the ongoing TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations.

The midfielder made his AFCON debut in the Black Stars’ opening day loss to Cameroon after he came off the bench to replace Kamaldeen Sulemana with just five more minutes to go.

Coach Milovan Rajevac is expected to shuffle up his cards in Ghana’s second game against Gabon on Friday night.

Kofi-Kyereh is reportedly going to replace Captain Andre Ayew in the starting XI. Andre Ayew picked up a head injury in the Black Stars opening game and had to sit out of today’s training as a precautionary measure.

The Black Stars take on the Panthers of Gabon on Friday night in what is a must-win game for Ghana.
