The defending champions are in Tamale without defender  Robert Sowah. The 28-year old was not part of the Hearts Of Oaks travelling team.

Coach Samuel Boadu and his team face Real Tamale United in a must-win encounter. The phobians are struggling in the ongoing campaign.

Boadu did the magic for the Accra based club in the second round of the league last season. He eventually won a treble for the club.

Striker Kwadjo Obeng Junior is also not part of the Accra Hearts Of Oaks team. Kwadjo is recovering from a minor injury he picked at the training grounds. The 22-year old attacker, has been given time off to speed up his recovery for the Kotoko game.

Ghana’s version of El Classico awaits Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Hearts Of Oaks. The two biggest clubs in Ghana will lock horns for the first time this season.
