Accra Hearts of Oak have started negotiations with defender Konadu Yiadom, to extend his expiring contract.
Yiadom’s contract will expire at the end of the season, making him eligible to leave as a free agent. The 24-year-old can join any club of his choice on a free transfer with many clubs jostling for his services.
According to reports, the Phobians has begun discussions with the former WAFA defender with the hope that he will agree to continue his trade with the club.
As it stands now, both parties have yet to agree on a deal but Hearts of Oak remains defiant the defender will stay.
The highly-rated defender has made just 15 appearances in the Ghana Premier League for Hearts of Oak, delivering an assist across the period.
The former Black Galaxies centre-back joined the rainbow boys in August 2022 and established himself as a key member of the team.
Yiadom spent last season on loan at Ukrainian club Kryvbas Kryvyi, but struggled to make impact, forcing his return to Hearts of Oak at the beginning of the 2024/25 campaign.
