Division Two League : Okwawu United Pummeled by Kwaebibirim United

Okwahu United , this afternoon at the AKyim Oda park suffered a 2-1 defeat to their eastern regional counterpart Kwaebibirim United in a replay of their first encounter which ended abruptly.

Recall, couple of weeks ago were the two United’s who came neck to neck back at the Dawu park which eventually had the scoreline then to be 1-1 but ended abruptly following an outburst from section of supporters as Okwawu suffered what they deemed a dubious penalty during the game.

Eastern regional football association in lieu with the football govering body the GFA in response to a protest made by Okwawu, scheduled new date for the replay of the encounter. And as such, the said day was today the 3rd day of october 2021 at AKyim Oda park.

Initially, the game was expected to have kickstart on 9:00am Ghana time but due to the bad nature of the pitch following a heavy down pour of rain yesterday, it had to be pushed back a bit to 12:15 pm.

Autimately, as for the commencement of the game, was Kwaebibirim United who showed much supremacy especially in the first half which saw them score two goals and perhaps ending the stage with a resounding 2-0 victory.

Asaase aban boys eventually came into the second stage with vigour that they pulled one back but it was not enough to have see them put parity as all that they tried afterwards did not yeild to fruition making Kwaebibirim qualify to the next stage of the division.

United, boosted by the win, will play Koforidua Suhyen Sporting Club in the coming days for the final of the eastern region division two middle league whiles the winner will qualify to Division One League come next season.
