I Take Very Strong Exception To Such Comments – Nana Obiri – Boahene To FA Boss

Lawyer Nana Obiri – Boahen, the deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) had been studiously following happenings and events in the football circles and he is overwhelmely worried about a recent comment made by the President of the Football Association Mr. Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku.

It could be recalled that in an interview with Joy Fm’s Gary Al Smith, the FA president said he was not the IGP to arrest holigans at match venues and this has gotten the outspoken Lawyer to burst into flames as he takes very strong exception to such comments passed by the FA President which he believes could have engaged the IGP to cause the arrest of those unscrupulous persons.

“In the case of Akuapim Poloo, it was a non-governmental child right group which informed the police to press charges against her and look at how they have persued this matter so if the FA president tells me he is not the IGP then with due respect to him I bet to differ”

“I take a very strong exception to such comments of such statement claiming you are not the IGP and I believe he needs to retract such distasteful comment because the Football Association can write to the the Inspector General of Police and the Criminal Investigation Department to prompt or informed them about recent holiganism at Nsoatre and Womanafo so that they can go into the issues”
