Ghana Government extend financial support package to Sports Athletes

The Government of Ghana through the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) will tomorrow Wednesday April 7, 2021 sign agreement with the National Sports Authority(NSA) to extend the existing financial support package for One thousand (1000) Elite Athletes instituted in 2020 by another six(6) months.

This stimulus package benefits athletes of the Ghana Football Association, the Ghana Olympic committee and National Paralympic Committee.

The signing ceremony will be graced by the Ministers of Youth and Sports, Labour and Employment, the CEO of Youth Employment Agency and Director General of the National Sports Authority.

Government took this decision as part of measures to militate against the negative impact of COVID-19 on our sports industry.
