Asante Kotoko Suffer Defeat Against Al Hilal In Their CAF Champions League First Leg.

Ghanaian side Kumasi Asante Kotoko suffered its first defeat against Al Hilal from Sudan in the CAF Champions League first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Vinny Bongonga scored the only goal in the game with a simple tap in the 77th minute giving his side the needed away goal.

Kotoko continued to press for an equalizer but failed to covert any of the chances created. One-nil the game ended.

The second leg is expected to take place in Sudan in two weeks in what seems a tall tall ladder for Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Asante Kotoko got the edge over Mauritanian side FC Nuadhibou before drawing against today’s opponent.
