Trio Donsu, Rashid And Boakye Ruled Out Of Great Olympics Opener

Medeama midfield trio Kwasi Donsu, Rashid Nortey and Agyei Boakye will miss the side’s opening 2020-21 opener against Great Olympics through injury.

Donsu is down with a thigh problem while Boakye has suffered a dislocated elbow after picking up the setback during the side’s 2-0 pre-season defeat against Karela United at the weekend.

Midfielder Rashid Nortey has been knocked down with a bout of malaria and will miss the match against the Accra-based side.

The three players are integral members of the squad having featured prominently in pre-season.

But coach Samuel Boadu will not be short of options with Eric Kwakwa, Justice Blay, Richard Boadu and Kwadwo Asamoah all available for selection.

The two-time FA Cup champions host Great Olympics at the Akoon Park on Sunday November 15, 2020 – the same venue the visitors lost 1-0 last season.
