GFA Extends Beach Soccer Clubs Registration Deadline

The Ghana Football Association (GFA), wishes to announce that the deadline for Beach Soccer clubs to complete and submit their registration details for the upcoming season has been extended.

The decision follows a meeting between the Chairman of the GFA Beach Soccer Committee, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.), Sena Akoto-Ampaw, Head of the Competitions department and Francis Adu, Head of the Information Technology Department of the GFA.

The extension would allow the Beach Soccer clubs sufficient time to prepare the required registration documents and details for a smooth transition to the GFA’s FIFA Connect System with the new deadline date set for close of business Friday, September 18, 2020.

It would be recalled that in March 2020, Beach Soccer clubs commenced the registration process before Covid-19 halted the original programme.

Currently, 26 Beach Soccer clubs in Ghana have indicated their readiness to kick start the Beach Soccer Premier League and the Beach Soccer Division One League competitions of the GFA.

The process once completed will pave way for the Beach Soccer clubs to register their players on the FIFA Connect System of the GFA and to use the Competitions Management System (CMS) to manage the Beach Soccer competitions.
