The spokesperson of the 18 Ghana premier league clubs, Patrick Akoto has confirmed that the premier league clubs has agreed to accept the disbursement of the FIFA COVID relief fund by the FA after a long deliberation.

“The 18 Premier League clubs have agreed to accept the disbursement of the FIFA COVID-19 relief fund. The clubs are ready to project a good image of Ghana Football. The clubs understand this relief fund will not solve all the problems facing the clubs. Meanwhile the Premier League clubs will hold the GFA accountable”, he told Accra based Angel FM.

“The 18 Premier League clubs have come to a consensus to avoid fighting and drawing daggers in the media. The bigger picture is the good name of Ghana football”, he added.
