Majeed Ashimeru Wins Austria OFB Trophy With Red Bull Salzburg.

Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru played full throttle and was on the score sheet as Red Bull Salzburg humiliated Austria Lustenau 5-0 to climch the 2019/20 Austria OFB Cup on Friday night at the Worthersee Stadion.

Szoboszlai was quick to score on the 19th minute before an own goal from Stumberger which made it 2-0 before the first half.

First goalscorer Szoboszlai later tuned provider when he assisted Nigerian international Okafor to make it 3-0 in the 53rd minute.

Black Stars forward Majeed Ashimeru later made it four following a beautiful strike in the 64th-minute mark.

Koita placed the icing on the cake by adding Salzburg’s 5th 15 minutes after Ashimeru’s goal, 5-0 the game ended.

The trophy remains Ashimeru’s first major trophy as a young footballer and will be hoping to achieve more considering his potential.

Ashimeru joined Salzburg in 2017 from Ghanaian side WAFA and despite loan spells elsewhere, the young forward has proven why he deserves a place in the current set up.
