We Won’t Agree To The 18 Club Division 1 League- President of Pacific Heroes FC, Eric Oppong Yeboah.

Bankroller and President of Division One side Pacific Heroes Mr. Eric Oppong Yeboah has opposed to the yet to be implemented 18 club division one league in Ghana.

The Ghana Football Association Executive Council has taken a decision to form a 5-member committee for the implementation of the transitional provision on the number of participating clubs in the National Division One League.

In an exclusive interview with Takoradi based Kyzz FM, Eric said:

“If I’m to speak for Pacific Heroes, we don’t agree. First we gain nothing from running these clubs, the only thing is the division one slots, just like the premier clubs boast of.”

“Probably there might be more attached to just the reduction of clubs to 18, there could be compensations and others but as things stand, we are not clear on what they want to do won’t agree to the club league.”

The league season has been halted indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic, with calls from some major stakeholders to get the league truncated.
