Ghanaian defender Jerome Opoku put in a commanding performance for Istanbul Basaksehir, helping them secure a vital 2-0 win over Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig.

Opoku, on loan from Portuguese side Rio Ave, played the entire match at the back for Basaksehir despite receiving an early booking in the 2nd minute.

His defensive efforts were vital, earning him a solid 7.0 rating from SofaScore. Opoku impressed with his passing accuracy, completing a staggering 95% (52 out of 55 attempts). He also contributed significantly with 2 interceptions and 4 clearances.
