Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Kurt Okraku has expressed his delight with Dreams FC’s historic achievement, reaching the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals.

Following Dreams FC’s hard-fought 1-1 draw against Stade Malien on Sunday, GFA President Kurt Okraku  took to Facebook to acknowledge the club’s success.  While acknowledging the dreamlike quality of their achievement, his message highlighted the reality of their accomplishment: “Congratulations to Dreams football club. But it’s still a dream.”

Dreams FC needed to defend their 2-1 advantage from the first leg against Stade Malien. Yoro Diaby gave the Malian side hope with a goal, but Dreams FC responded with an equalizer from Sylvester Simba, securing a 3-2 aggregate victory.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for Ghanaian football. Dreams FC becomes the first Ghanaian side to reach the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals since Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko achieved the feat back in 2005.

Dreams FC will face the Egyptian giants Zamalek in the semifinals on April 21.
