Abdul Fatawu Issahaku

Ghanaian youngster Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been recognized for his impressive performance in Leicester City’s 3-1 comeback victory over Norwich City in the English Championship.

The 19-year-old, on loan from Sporting Lisbon, played a key role in securing the win, earning him a spot in SofaScore’s Team of the Week.

Issahaku impressed throughout his 88 minutes on the pitch, contributing to Leicester’s fightback after conceding an early goal. He was eventually substituted by James Justin, but not before leaving his mark on the game. SofaScore awarded him a commendable rating of 8.2, reflecting his overall contribution.

Issahaku’s impact goes beyond just his playing time. He boasts a commendable record of 3 goals and 10 assists in 33 Championship appearances for Leicester this season.

This win was a much-needed boost for Leicester, who had struggled for results in recent weeks. The victory cements their position in third place of the Championship table with 85 points after 39 matches.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku wasn’t the only Leicester player to receive recognition. Midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and forward Stephy Mavididi, who also scored in the win, join him in the Team of the Week.
